The Bar at Hotel le Saint, Paris

I was fortunate enough to travel to Paris this past January, my second time attending Paris Deco Off and first attending Maison & Objet. I'm writing this post in April mostly due to the fact that I'm longing to visit in the springtime rather than in freezing temperatures. But, really, no complaints here as I look back on such a fantastic week.

Must have travel items…This trip was easy packing due the freezing temperatures - My Calvin Klein wool coat, Acne Jensen booties, a small Tumi sling bag and my phone for a camera and FaceTime made up most of what I needed all week! Plus a few wool sweaters and leather leggings for extra warmth.

Favorite meal…A yearly lunch at Les Climats hosted by generous and talented friends! In addition, a casual bistro meal with good friends from Houston was a highlight.

Best cocktail…Champagne, of course, luckily in abundance at all of the events, namely The Americans in Paris yearly soiree.

Favorite museum…I visited the Picasso Museum in Le Marais for the first time this trip. His work and the environment were stunning, but the work of Giacometti stole the show for me...

Best view... the Eiffel Tower at night from the Seine on a lovely dinner cruise thanks to Holland & Sherry and The Design Leadership Network.

Favorite store…I had the opportunity to explore Le Marais for a bit one day after taking a food tour by the company Paris by Mouth. Although there’s no shortage of amazing shopping where I was staying in Stain Germain, my favorite purchase was made at a small boutique in Le Marais called Les Petites. The Isabel Marant boutique around the corner is always amazing as well.

Hidden gem…My hotel! A very unassuming perfectly Parisian boutique hotel called Le Saint. The environment, the bar, the rooms and the people were the most charming you can imagine.

Bon soir!
